About Us

The Tyngsborough Public Schools serve approximately 2,300 students housed in four district buildings. The Tyngsborough Elementary School, our newest facility, opened in March, 2002. It serves all of our preschool, kindergarten, and early education programs and students from transition to grade five. The Tyngsborough Middle School houses grades six, seven and eight. The Tyngsborough High School provides for grades nine through twelve.

The entire system was fully accredited, preschool through grade twelve, by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. We have enjoyed one of the lowest dropout rates in the Commonwealth and typically, more than ninety percent of our graduates go on to attend college.

The educational foundation of the Tyngsborough Public Schools is strong. We have a modern and continually updated curriculum with a dedicated staff of qualified teachers. The schools’ state-of-the-art facilities are clean and well maintained, and throughout all grade levels, we provide students with a choice of programs that allow them to personalize their school experience.

Our success rests in the commitment of the staff to work together with the families in order to help each student discover meaning in their educational experience. This commitment begins with relevance of learning both in and out of the classroom. We offer parents and children a multitude of choices in designing their own approach to learning. From pre-school through high school, the academic foundation is enhanced with innovative learning experiences, activities, and a comprehensive extracurricular/athletic program. We provide a continuum of services for students and believe that all students, regardless of their abilities, have the right to be included and educated within their community.
